It's very easy to life your life as if you are going to live forever. A diagnosis of prostate cancer shatters that belief. The day you are diagnosed with prostate cancer is a very personal reminder that life, your life and mine is truly fragile. One day you are healthy, the next day you discover you have prostate cancer.
Life is both precious and fragile. Considering this how should one live? Here's some of my thoughts:
1. A life without love is meaningless. Love others and love them well.
2. Don't hold grudges or live in unforgiveness. Reconcile those relationships that were broken especially when they involve
family.
Remember two things, first you can't reconcile with anyone who isn't open to that possibility. Second, if someone has proven
to be untrustworthy, you can reconcile without foolishly giving them the keys to your home or your car.
3. The most important being to be reconciled with in the entire universe is God. The Bible tells us that reconciliation comes
through Jesus:
Rom 5:8-11
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
