Hey I'm Doug, On 04/05/2011, I left my prostate in Rochester, Mn at St Mary's Hospital. I am 61, and even though there are changes; I am grateful for good health and an undetectable PSA.

I left my prostate @ Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland on June 11, 2013. I decided on the Da Vinci Robotic surgery and had a very positive outcome. My first PSA was "zero" as relayed by the surgeon and it was one of the best moments I have experienced. Another moment was when I discovered I had urinary control when my catheter was removed. It did take several weeks before I felt safe to discontinue protection. I haven't had sexual function but this can wait. My wife and been my rock and has been extremely supportive. I have truely been blessed and pray I continue to be cancer free.

Lost my prostate at the age of 51 in Dayton, Ohio on 2/14/13!!! Welcome to our forum Like you I joined a number of forums. It seems each filled a different need. I hope you'll check out the topics from this forum. Based on what you've said in other threads, especially the thread on penile rehab. Making sure you don't develop a venous leak which results in permanent ED. Injections are the best way to keep venous health until a response from ED meds kick in. I hated injections, but I kept performing them until I stopped responding to the injections. Never found out why. Rick
