If you haven't read this book, I believe you should. One could easily think sure I'm making that suggestion because I'm the one who wrote the book. That isn't my motivation. If you are considering taking a long trip to a place you've never been before, you'd want a map or GPS to help you get to the places you want to go.
If you are considering surgery, this book is that map that provides you with very practical pre and post surgery advice. Brenda and I share so much of our private life, it was a very difficult decision on our part to publish this book.
We did so because it was our desire to give couples the information and support that won't be found in other places. Most chapters end with questions so the book can be used by couples or in prostate cancer support groups. Here's a small sample of the issues that are discussed:
* How to break the news to your friends and family.
* When a one-day hospital stay is not long enough.
* What are bladder spasms and how you get relief.
* How a simple mistake could cost you thousands of dollars.
* How erectile dysfunction will affect you and your relationships.
* What's penile rehabilitation, and why you need it.
* Why you may experience a severe post-surgical depression
* How the "expectation gap" will alienate you from friends & family.
* How surgery will affect your sex life.
* How faith makes a difference coping with prostate cancer.
You can visit Amazon and go "inside the book". There you can read a few pages without charge. In addition, there are currently 14 positive reviews available to read.
This thread is the place to ask or discuss any issue, page or any chapter found in my book.
If you don't have this book, here's a list of links to purchase your copy:
Amazon Link
Barnes & Noble Link
itunes Link
If you do purchase the book, I'd appreciate you writing a review. I look forward to meeting you through this forum.
