I want to challenge every man/couple coping with prostate cancer to do something to inform healthy men the importance of getting their prostate checked. Please share your successes and failures with your efforts.
To Date, I've promoted this on a radio interview, my blog, and on my Facebook page.
My efforts to have the Modesto, Fresno, and Sacramento Bee run a story about prostate cancer ended in failure not a single one of these papers were interested. I was so frustrated I wrote a letter to the Modesto Bee. I'll see if that letter makes it into the paper.
Update: 12/7- The Modesto Bee agreed to run a story which I will feature on a separate thread! The story will appear in the paper on 12/8. I didn't make it for September Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, but that doesn't matter. Men are newly diagnosed every month. I hope others will share their efforts.
